A spring celebration supporting sight and hearing at Portland Art Museum
How It Started
A few weeks ago, Kate Mayne from the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation (OLSHF) reached out with an invitation to participate in their spring gala. We'll be creating a centerpiece for one of the guest tables.
About OLSHF
Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation has been serving the community since 1959. Their programs include vision screenings for schoolchildren and providing eyeglasses and hearing aids for those who can't afford them. The foundation serves Oregon and Northern California.
As central Portland residents ourselves, it feels good to support an organization that's been helping our neighbors for over 65 years.
The Event: Blooms & Brunch Gala
The beautiful spring invitation sets the tone for this garden-style celebration.
Date: Saturday, April 4, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Location: Portland Art Museum, Kridel Grand Ballroom
What to expect: mimosas, brunch, live auction, and warm conversation
The gala will bring together around 250 guests — sponsors, community members, and supporters — for a morning of celebration and fundraising. The spring theme runs through everything: from the dress code (pastels, florals, and light fabrics encouraged!) to the décor.
Online bidding opens March 27, 2026, so you can participate even if you can't attend in person.
Our Contribution
We're creating a spring centerpiece that will be displayed during the gala and auctioned off at the end of the evening. The design will reflect the garden-style aesthetic of the invitation — soft lavender tones, buttery yellows, delicate blue accents, and fresh spring greens.
